Portsmouth International Kite Festival

The Portsmouth International Kite Festival is held annually on Southsea Common and is the longest and largest event of its kind in the UK. This year it was held over the weekend of the 12/13 September.
The conditions on Saturday were perfect for kite flying with a gentle breeze which showed off the many giant soft kites to their best and provided the opportunity for some interesting photographs.
All these images were taken with a 14 year old 22mp full frame Canon DLSR and an equally old 16-35mm f4 Canon lens which I think can, despite their ages, still produce good quality images. The only real drawback is they are b. heavy!
