Guest Speaker – Pauline Martindale

Thur 24 Sep 2026 saw our first virtual speaker of the new season on Photographing our Parks and Gardens. In the first half we were given a photographic tour of a variety of parks and gardens around the country with details about their history, and their tea rooms!  This then finished with a Steampunk Convention in a park in Sheffield.

The second part, as Pauline had served as a prison officer, covered Prison gardens and prison garden competitions and the role gardening can play in some prisoners’ rehabilitation.
